Well, well, well, I have to bow before you, Mathieu!! It seems that your solution holds up tight - even against system updates, rebooting and multiple power supply on and off switching :-) To be absolutely sure that the sonypi is out of the system I blacklisted it again in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist. I hope you don't mind me reporting if someday it should stop working. Thanks again!
