Public bug reported:
After upgrading to Kubuntu 7.10 from Kubuntu Feisty my machine got as slow as
molasses, leaving only 3 Gb from 18. I had to re-install which I did from CD,
which left 14 Gb free. (I saved and returned everything I had under home)
Secondly each time I install an update I get invited to install the new version
which has already been duly installed. This is indeed recognized after some
clicks.
