Hi Kais, >From your log: [ERROR] Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use
That means you have another service on that port running. You should check what that is and stop/reconfigure that service. Most often that is e.g. a manual install of mysql in another versions or something like that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1707299 Title: Install failed due to server restart unable to bind port 3306 (already in use) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.7/+bug/1707299/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
