I am using a Dell Inspiron 510m (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/DellInspiron510m) with an Intel 855 GM card in it and using the same driver.
If I run glxgears I get: $ glxgears libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b and no crash.
