Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apport
Apport is not notifying me of new crash reports, even though Compiz crashes frequently on my system. When I looked in /var/crash, there are crash reports from Compiz and other applications that I've never been notified about. Running /usr/share/apport/apport-checkreports in a terminal does nothing. However, running /usr/share/apport/apport-gtk presented me with a string of crash reports in succession, due to the crash reports already stored in /var/crash. Each time a new application crashes and leaves a crash report in /var/crash, the crash report notification only appears after manually running apport-gtk. There is only one entry in /etc/apport/blacklist.d, and that is '/usr/bin/wine-preloader'. Is this expected behaviour? ** Affects: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- apport - No crash report notifications in Gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155884 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
