Since the release of Ubuntu 17.10 is fast approaching, it looks like this might need a FreezeException, please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess for details. If this can wait until next cycle, it looks like it will automatically be synced once that is opened, so if that's OK, there's no need to do anything, but if you would like it in 17.10, if the FFE is approved, I'll be happy to upload.
