Public bug reported: After I connect the docking station and switch to it, everthing works ok with the HDMI device of my external monitor connected to it.
But after disconnecting sound stops working until I open the sound preferences and select the only sound device, i.e. the HDMI sound remains selected after the device is no longer there. While I'm guessing it might be convenient, in the absence of an existing card, to keep it selected so that when I plug back the docking station the sound is restored, sound should keep playing when the selected device disappears.
