Hmm, well, many things are broken in this release. Just look at the bugs related to fgrlx drivers, and framebuffer bugs (setting the "vga" kernel parameter to something different from "normal" breaks tty's I/O :)). I guess this bug will not be fixed soon. :( As it was in 7.04, "domestic" bugs don't get much attention to. It's sad.
