Daniel, thanks for your quick reply. To be honest I wasn't expecting it so yesterday I upgraded my OS version to Ubuntu 17.04 and the problem is gone.
If I have this problem again I'll run the command you suggested me and send you the logs. And no, I wasn't using it with the lid closed. I was just taking it with me from one room to another and closed the lid for convenience, then when I opened it again the problem happened. Have a nice day.
