I AM USING AN OLDER INSTALLER BECAUSE WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO CREATE A NEW BOOTABLE FLASH STICK INSTALLER WITH ANY MORE RECENT VERSION CANONICAL/UBUNTU HAD PASSWORD DISABLED THEM!! THAT, AND I NEED THE LEGACY WACOM GRAPHICS PAD AND MOUSE ACCELERATION FUNCTIONS WHICH ARE OMITTED IN NEWER INSTALL VERSIONS. THE INSTALLER CRASH HAD BEEN CAUSED BY AN IMPROPERLY CONNECTED HD CABLE. REMEDIED THAT AND INSTALL WENT FINE. --UNTIL JUST A FEW MOMENTS AGO, WHEN FACEBOOK HIT THE NEW DRIVE AND NEW INSTALL WITH YET ANOTHER INSTANCE OF THE SAME ROOT VIRUSES THAT CAUSED THE NEED FOR THIS CLEAN INSTALL ON A NEW HARD DRIVE TO BEGIN WITH.
