Public bug reported:

Using the 4.10.0-26 kernel I get the following error on boot:

error: attempt to read or write outside of disk 'hd0'

This happens every time I try to boot it and stops the boot process. If
I manually choose the previous kernel I had – 4.10.0-22 – the boot goes
fine.
