*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 23768 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/23768
This bug is present in Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) too. CPU Frequency Scaling works by using cpufreq-selector command. System starts in a "dynamic" mode - CPU frequency is 50% unless needed more, but nowhere this information is shown. I think this is a bug too - user should know in what mode CPU works. It is new installation of Ubuntu 7.10 i386 on Dell Inspiron 6400 with Intel Core 2 Duo. uname: Linux ubuntu-pc 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux -- CPU frequency selector menu is not available in preferences dialog; missing kernel support? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
