Update: As Laney has said all along, this map is a map of timezone borders, not country borders.
The very north of the region in question is in the UTC+5 timezone, and the south is in the UTC+5:30 timezone. Google maps shows the border through the region, and I have overlaid this on to the maps as shipped and the timezone border matches the Google map very closely, and so I posit that the maps as shipped with Ubuntu are already correct and do not need updating. However - if this was a map showing country borders then they would need updating. But it's not, and so they don't. ** Attachment added: "timezone.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libtimezonemap/+bug/1697474/+attachment/4905553/+files/timezone.png ** Changed in: libtimezonemap (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid ** Changed in: libtimezonemap (Ubuntu) Assignee: Will Cooke (willcooke) => (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1697474 Title: Map of India is incorrect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libtimezonemap/+bug/1697474/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
