The ppa2 version looks good to me too. I did the first official upgrade (tzdata) and did 100 install/remove repetitions of the openoffice.org-calc package that had given me trouble before. It was in an xterm, and I really messed with the screen, resizing, iconifying, obscuring, switching desktops. No problems occurred.
