My point is that we shouldn't release these patches as an SRU without being able to reproduce the bugs that the patches claim to fix first. Otherwise we risk introducing additional regressions.
So if we want to consider an SRU for NM with one or more of Aaron's patches, then yes we need to go through each one of his patches, try to re-create the problem, validate that the patch fixes it, and then submit the patch upstream for comment as well.
