This bug happens because the ftp ls output is incorrectly parsed in the gnome_vfs_parse_ls_lga function. The attached patch solves the bug. The symlink target was also incorrectly parsed if there were space in it. This patch also solves this bug.
I put updated gnomevfs package with the patch applied in my PPA archive: http://ppa.launchpad.net/yann-pleiades/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gnome-vfs2/ ** Attachment added: "Fix the ftp ls parsing bug in gnomevfs" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10082442/32_handle_ftp_symlink_with_space.patch -- symbolic links with spaces in their pathnames on ftp servers does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/29485 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
