Public bug reported: I've seen several similar reports but none exactly like this one, so I'm going to type up a report. When using the Gutsy alternate installer for i386, the installer fails at "Select and install software", if i go to tty4 i can see the following (note i don't really know how i'd get this from the other computer so i'm typing it all myself):

Additionally, the iso's checksum matched, k3b verified that the image burned was the same as the iso, and finally the disk's self-check passed. I hope someone can figure this one out, and I'll be happy to help(i want my gutsy). cheers -Dan ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gutsy alternate installer (i386) fails at "Select and install software" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154753 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
