What's the output of "dpkg -s logtail | grep Version" for you?
It should be 1.2.61 and if it's not the workaround appears to be manually
installing logcheck (again), so the new version gets pulled in.
I'll provide a patch for a SRU to fix the dependency of logcheck on logtail.
