We should have patched this before gutsy was released/frozen. Now its too late and, personally, I don't think that this justifies an sru. My suggestion is that, once the repo for hardy will open (which is a matter of few days), we will take the 1.1.0-2 from Debian and patch it with this fix, after which we can backport it to gutsy (if necessary).
