I also compiled it and I made the deb files available for testing on the following link: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~mhcerri/azure/lp1690177-hyperv-backport/ I boot tested it on azure with a "Standard DS1 v2" instance (with 1 core and 3.5 GB of memory).
