I still have systems that are completely locking up when a hyper-v backup is taken even with kernel 4.4.0-77. I'll attach the syslog from one. I also have systems that are not locking up but displaying things like '[sdc] asking for cache data failed', '[sdc] assuming drive cache: write through', 'Dev sdc unable to read RDB block 0'. I believe sdc would be the cdrom drive.
Attaching the log for the system that was unresponsive. Backups start around 5:00AM. The system was unresponsive when I came in at 8:00AM. ** Attachment added: "syslog.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1679898/+attachment/4872297/+files/syslog.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1679898 Title: [Hyper-V] Ubuntu VM crash during Hyper-V backup or live migration after installing kernel 4.4.0-72 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1679898/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
