Yes I had tried removing the module earlier thinking the same thing; no effect. Nope no mouse; just the integrated touchpad. #57355 sounds similar to this at first but on reading further it sounds more and more like it was just a problem with earlier in-kernel broadcom drivers. I was afraid it would come to a wall because of the use of the Windows driver. I would certainly like to see if the problem persists using the bcm43xx drivers instead but unfortunately this card will not work with them in 2.6.20-15.
