Public bug reported: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, i386, is installed on several POS terminals with a touchscreen that needs a driver. For the touchscreen to work, a custom X11 configuration in /etc/X11/xorg.conf is thus needed.
Unattended upgrades have been enabled in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/10periodic. Suddenly the touchscreen does not work anymore, the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf had been moved to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.dist- upgrade-201703311243, rendering the touchscreen unusable after the next reboot. ** Affects: xubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1684489 Title: Unattended dist-upgrade deletes /etc/X11/xorg.conf config file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xubuntu-meta/+bug/1684489/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
