Installed a fresh copy of Kubuntu 7.04 (64 bit) on a new harddrive. 2. Upgraded Kubuntu 7.04 to Kubuntu 7.10. 3. Installed the xorg-fglrx driver the Ubuntu-way (i.e., xorg-driver-fglrx). 4. Uninstalled the driver (because it did not work). 5. Installed the fglrx driver manually. More details and attachments can be found at the following site: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=579107 I tried to set Option "LVDSBiosNativeMode" "false", however: (1) There is no "driver" section in the xorg.conf file; and (2) it made no difference, no matter which section I put the Option into. There are no errors (EE) that I can see in the log files. Everything looks as though it should work ... it just doesn't. It works on the 32-bit version of Kubuntu 7.04. Any other ideas? ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Black Screen: Radeon X1300, Gutsy, AMD64, and fglrx. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153971 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
