** Summary changed: - IF function cant't be done without Quotation marks + IF function can't be done without Quotation marks
** Description changed: Binary package hint: openoffice.org-calc actually this is not a bug , but an important enhancement as i think. When i try to use the IF function with words for example : Pass - Fail instead of numbers , you have to do that using the Quotation marks every time with each word it will be like that: Then_value : "Pass" Otherwise_value : "Fail" if you did not put the Quotation marks you will get an error . When you try to do the same operation in MS Excel there is no need to put the Quotation marks , just write any word you want and it will give you the correct result. - I think its non sense to make complicated like that it should be easier for the user espcially those who left MS Office to Open Office. - Thats all , and thanks for you efforts people . + I think its not good to make complicated like that it should be easier for the user especially those who left MS Office to Open Office. + the solution is to ( auto quot ) the value or word inside the text box instead of doing that manually by the user. + Thats all , and thanks for your efforts people . -- IF function can't be done without Quotation marks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152087 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
