Public bug reported: I installed Ubuntu 16.10 and then installed Cinnamon DE. I have since wanted to go back to gnome. To install gnome, I installed "gnome-shell" and "gnome-shell-extensions*" from the stock Ubuntu repositories.
When I login, icons look to be the right size, but gtk3 windows seems to double the size of my mouse, the window borders are double the size, etc. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.10 Package: gnome-shell 3.20.4-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.8.0-46.49-generic 4.8.17 Uname: Linux 4.8.0-46-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: zfs zunicode zcommon znvpair zavl nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.3-0ubuntu8.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Fri Apr 7 10:01:03 2017 DisplayManager: lightdm InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-03-18 (20 days ago) InstallationMedia: It SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug yakkety -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1680880 Title: Gnome-Shell large window borders To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1680880/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
