Hello and thank you for filing this bug! I am unsure of what exactly happened in your case, though?
You were doing something else and accidentally installed a firmware package and broke your wifi? Job for smbd.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status smbd.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details. If you could provide the above, that would help, but I'm guessing what happened was that your wifi was broken and samba depends on the network connectivity? ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1676083 Title: wrong command with superuser powers caused red text and failure in terminal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1676083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
