I have installed from Ubuntu Studio 16.04 live DVD. I also did verify it using the check disc option at the boot menu before trying to install to the hard drive. I have also tried to install the software several times but the crashes occur sometimes at the start and sometimes in different stages of copying the files..
I am also not able to install Kubuntu or Fedora but windows xp and 7 installs ok and works with a antivirus. I suspect a virus but I do not know what to do about it.
