You have been subscribed to a public bug: The current edge detection threshold allows to initiate an edge swipe to far away from the edge when benchmarked against left and right edges. This behaviour generates many false positives as vertical scrolls initiated close to the bottom edge are interpreted as edge swipes
To reproduce ------------------ Launch Gallery Navigate to Events tab Tap in the content area within about 2-3 GUs distance from the bottom edge and drag vertically Toolbar slides in expected behaviour --------------------------- Edge detection area shouldn't exceed the shell threshold of 2GUs and should have the same values as left and right edges System shouldn't interpret a dragging gesture that doesn't cross the edge as an edge swipe even if tap was detected within the 2GUs threshold Vertical scroll gesture is interpreted as an edge swipe when initiated within 2GUs from the bottom edge ** Affects: ubuntu-ui-toolkit Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Assignee: Andrea Cimitan (cimi) Status: Fix Released ** Tags: doesnt-need-tests -- [Shell] bottom edge swipe is detected when initial tap is within the 2GUs threshold https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1237997 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
