Hello and thank you for filing this bug report. I'm not sure there is any bug in php7.0 from this issue, as libappindicator3-1 failed in the same way. It seems like dpkg might be in an inconsistent state and multiple packages may need reinstallation. Can you explain how or when this issue showed up?
In fact, per DpkgHistoryLog.txt, p7zip failed to install as well, before you tried to run `apt-get -f install`. ** Changed in: php7.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1671992 Title: package php7.0-json 7.0.15-0ubuntu0.16.04.4 failed to install/upgrade: package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should reinstall it before attempting configuration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php7.0/+bug/1671992/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
