Is this behavior that you are experiencing with all GUI applications? I would recommend adding your suggestions/comments to an existing blueprint, i.e.: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu?searchtext=bug or https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu?searchtext=crash
