Public bug reported: Today, UAL just passes the session environment to launched apps. This doesn't work well in all use cases (see bug #1670727).
UAL should have a mechanism for modifying the different environments in which it launches apps (at least XMir vs. native, maybe also local vs. libertine vs. snap).
