Public bug reported:

Trying to install lubuntu 16.10 on virtualbox vm. I went round some
loops having tried to use encryopted disk and LVM, neither of which the
installer liked. Switched these off and got the crash. Maybe somewthing
to do with the vm having an autoresize disk?
