Hi, I have the same problem on the RC I installed today. I have a ThinkPad T40 laptop, with a Radeon 7500 video card. No usplash either at all.
"lsmod |grep fb" gave me a blank prompt. My usplash.conf is the following: # Usplash configuration file xres=1280 yres=1024 I'll try and change it to be 1024x768, but, I think I read somewhere that my laptop can support a higher res (the one in usplash.conf), and that's why I upgraded so soon.
