For the case, where you decide to stick with the patch, you also need revision 2252 of the 1.4 branch if you want the gsettings overrides example file to be included in the source package. http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~onboard/onboard/1.4/revision/2252#setup.py Since the onboard-defaults.conf file I added to this thread does not correspond anymore to the version with the gsettings overrides, I deleted it.
