Public bug reported:

Please sync youtube-dl 2017.02.07-1 (universe) from Debian unstable
(main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * New upstream feature release.

I just uploaded a new version to Debian's sid that fixes a lot of problems
extracting data from many sources, not only the ones that were included in
2017.02.01-0ubuntu1.

BTW, the users on older versions of Ubuntu are experiencing problems (I've
been flooded with emails) and this package in particular should be
backported.

Changelog entries since current zesty version 2017.02.01-0ubuntu1:

youtube-dl (2017.02.07-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream version 2017.02.07
    (Closes: #850893, #851157, #854314, #853120)
  * debian/upstream/signing-key.asc:
    + Add keys for both upstream "releasers". (Addresses: #846495)
  * debian/watch: Simplify the watch file and make it work.
    Thanks to "user" for the warning. (Closes: #846495)
  * debian/control:
    + Update list of supported sites. People keep complaining that it is not
      up-to-date.
