Thank you for this advice but there is little I can do about it. I used the only CD that I have with Ubuntu on it. The PC is not working so I cannot use it for downloading a different version. If I do manage to get another download, it would probably be better to go for a more recent version, such as 16? Your advice would be welcome. Geoffrey Stevens
