Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdevelop
I am using kdevelop on my ubuntu gutsy laptop and when I'm using xgl (I have an ATI gpu) it's really hard to work with kdevelop. When I'm scrolling in sourcecode the redraw takes too long which results in flickering and (which is the most annoying thing) it's not possible to scroll to the target location, because kdev. scrolls many pages without stopping even if I'm no longer pressing the cursor keys. The only chance to find the desired codeline is to press slowly page-up and -down and then use the arrow keys inside the visible area. First I thought it would be a "regular bug" in kdevelop, but then I tried to disable xgl via ~/.config/xgl-server/disable and it was back to normal. So there is a problem with kdevelop when using xgl+fglrx from gutsy. kdevelop+X.org without xgl and fglrx works fine. ** Affects: kdevelop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KDevelop scrolls really slow when using xgl https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152846 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
