You can rebuild the kernel by following these steps https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/BuildYourOwnKernel
the file you will need to edit is here drivers/usb/serial/ch341.c && http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/usb/serial/ch341.c I'm sure you can recompile things by module but from memory the process is lengthy and difficult. This is the easiest option -- although re- compiling the kernel will take a while. Hopefully a patch will come soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1527491 Title: QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1527491/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
