Public bug reported: When using version 451.6 of the network installer the TUI installer will stop at the dialog: Setting up the clock" where it says "Getting the time from a network time server". This will stay like this until a key is pressed.
This will only appear on a preseed installation as it relies on no keyboard intervention to manifest itself. The problem was present in 451.4 as well. The preseed installation is performed via a 16.04.1 server using pxelinux and dnsmasq for delivering the two files linux and initrd.gz and apache to deliver the pressed file. The dialog box will immediately disappear once a succesful keystroke sequence is entered, eg <Alt>F2 ** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1655384 Title: 16.04.1 Network installer waits indefinitely for time server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings/+bug/1655384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
