Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I just upgraded my Dell D600 laptop to 7.10rc. I find that if I execute: sudo /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force or sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh everything works wonderfully. However, when I use the menu and select either Hibernate of Suspend, I end up right away at the password prompt again with no suspend of hibernate happening. Also, nothing at all happens when I push the sleep button. I verified that the events are happening by: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/acpi$ sudo acpi_listen [sudo] password for frohro: button/lid LID 00000080 00000009 button/lid LID 00000080 0000000a button/lid LID 00000080 0000000b button/lid LID 00000080 0000000c button/power PBTN 00000080 00000003 button/lid LID 00000080 0000000d button/lid LID 00000080 0000000e button/lid LID 00000080 0000000f button/lid LID 00000080 00000010 ac_adapter AC 00000080 00000000 battery BAT0 00000080 00000001 processor CPU0 00000080 0000000c battery BAT0 00000080 00000001 battery BAT0 00000080 00000001 processor CPU0 00000080 00000008 ac_adapter AC 00000080 00000001 battery BAT0 00000080 00000001 battery BAT0 00000080 00000001 battery BAT0 00000080 00000001 I'm not sure exactly what log to look for the problem. I don't find anything much in the kern.log or acpid.log after doing the GUI suspend tries. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- hibernate.sh & sleep.sh work, but GUI (perhaps gnome-power-manager) does not https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
