Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I just upgraded my Dell D600 laptop to 7.10rc. I find that if I
execute:

sudo /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force

or

sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh

everything works wonderfully. However, when I use the menu and select
either Hibernate of Suspend, I end up right away at the password prompt
again with no suspend of hibernate happening. Also, nothing at all
happens when I push the sleep button. I verified that the events are
happening by:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/acpi$ sudo acpi_listen
[sudo] password for frohro:

I'm not sure exactly what log to look for the problem. I don't find
anything much in the kern.log or acpid.log after doing the GUI suspend
tries.

hibernate.sh & sleep.sh work, but GUI (perhaps gnome-power-manager) does not
