I just tested it. The same problems persist. After scim is selected as the Keyboard Input Method:
1. Dash opens but one cannot type in the search screen. 2. The backspace and delete keys on the keyboard do not work. I have attached here a sample of what happens when using the backspace and delete keys while scim is active. Note that the date of the sample is May, 2014. I just did it again, and replicated the same. Attached in next post.
