It looks like fsck wants to check another partition, but fails to do so.
Can you please list the partitions you have on your system and what is
on it (i.e. windows or other linux versions). If you know, please add
the filesystem (i.e. ntfs, fat, linux) type to the list.

Secondly, can you please try to boot in recovery mode? You can select recovery 
mode from the grub menu. If you didn't see the grub menu, you will need to 
press escape when grub is started (you should see a message about that). Please 
report the last messages if this stops.
When the system asks for a root password, just press ctrl+D and see if you get 
the login screen.
