So... I don't follow you here... A "normal" installation will not prompt for the CD? If it doesn't, please ignore the rest of this entry. "It could be annoying for dial-up.users if we would trigger the internet connection every time." Well, now it's annoying for people with fast internet connections who have to insert the CD every time even though there's really no reason for them whatsovever to do so.
