Public bug reported:

Currently if one right clicks a folder and selects Properties ->
Permissions, one can select what read/write/execute permissions should
be used for that folder. But most often when I need that feature, I need
to set the permissions to all files, subfolders, files is subfolders,
etc. in that folder. So some kind of flag to allow to execute the
command recursively would be nice. Currently AFAIK only way to do that
is to open command line and give command: chmod 755 foldername -R

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Untriaged
