Thanks for reporting. Normally packages will be automatically synced from Debian Sid to the current Ubuntu development version. However, in this case it contained some Ubuntu specific changes as seen in the version number 2.2.3-1ubuntu1. I looked a bit into it and it looks like this has been added to the Debian package, so I have requested a manuel sync of the package, see bug 1647447 for details. See also https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess for more details on package syncing, though as mentioned, this happens automatically most of the time. :)
