Public bug reported: The LLVM package is supposed to contain the pp-trace tool; and some users report it's present on their system. However, downloading llvm-3.8 (or llvm-3.7), for Xenial Xerus, amd64 architecture, yields a .deb without that file. It should be in /usr/lib/llvm-3.8/bin/pp-trace, and isn't there.
I'm also seeing a broken symlink to it from /usr/bin/pp-trace. Notes: * See the discussion on AskUbuntu: http://askubuntu.com/questions/856186/no-clang-package-for-16-04-seems-to-contain-pp-trace? * A possibly related Debian bug: http://bugs.debian.org/839909 * This machine was dist-upgraded from 15.10 wily to 16.04 xenial; that should probably not matter though.
