Hi Can confirm this, on upgrade from 7.04 (2.6.20-16) to 7.10RC the package linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-14-386 was not included in the upgrade leaving me with an X that failed to start.
Swapped driver to "nv" in X and started Kubuntu, then installed the restricted modules package and everything works ok (could use the console to do this as well I suppose) -- kernel upgrade does not install linux-restricted-modules-*-386 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
