This is bug 1564759 reopended for Yakkety's kernel 4.8
As noted in bug 1564759 it was fixed for ubuntu 16.04. This is confirmed. No
crashes occuring there.
In 16.10 however the bug has returned and shows up very often,
especially when playing video or using google maps.
Running an Intel® Core™ i5-6267U CPU @ 2.90GHz × 4 with Intel® Iris
Graphics 550 (Skylake GT3e)
Log output reveals nothing as to why the system has crashed, but it
certainly identical to the previous bug.
