As Torsten says in bug #28, this is still an issue in the latest kernel (4.4.0-45-generic):
graham@dorfl:~$ lsmod | grep usbip usbip_host 24576 0 usbip_core 32768 1 usbip_host graham@dorfl:~$ sudo usbipd usbip err: stub_driver.c: 33 (open_sysfs_stub_driver) usbip_common_mod.ko and usbip.ko must be loaded ** (process:38742): ERROR **: driver open failed Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped) There's a workaround for this in the comments of Bug #900224, but that seems pretty shonky for an LTR release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/900384 Title: usbipd requires usbip_common_mod.ko and usbip.ko kernel modules, which are not available in any package To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/900384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
